ronald ajavonDear Parents and Guardians,

I would like to bring to your attention some key information for the successful continuation of our school year, as we close this week without school during which staff was on leave.

Principals and school staff will resume their activities in telework mode (working from home) as of today. Schools and the head office will remain closed to ensure the effectiveness of efforts to counter the spread of COVID-19. If you wish to communicate with the school, you can do so starting today, by calling your school’s regular phone number.

This week, school staff will plan virtual educational activities for your children, which will be delivered starting Monday, April 6.  Before then, teachers and educators will communicate with the children on Wednesday, April 1, based on a schedule which will be given to you.

The purpose is to allow the teacher/s to:

  • ensure that internet access is available and that communications tools work properly,
  • take the time to have a dialogue with your children about the pedagogical restart.

Some families do not have access to internet services. We recognize this and have worked out a solution.

CÉF is making a toll-free number available (1-877-273-6662) by which a counselor may be contacted, who can provide guidance in supporting your child’s educational endeavour, if needed. This new service is available as of today.

Further information will also be provided to you this week, including your child's academic assessment for the 2019-2020 school year.

Thank you in advance for your support in the days ahead. We are very much aware of the upheaval the COVID-19 crisis has brought about. More than ever, our great Fransaskois village will be called upon to collaborate, to raise every student to success.

Warmest regards,

Ronald Ajavon, Director of Education / CEO
